Holiday Knitting

This week I am on holibobs, working on some prototypes for a design that's in my head, fiddling around with details and fit. I spent a chunk of yesterday working on it on a blanket on the beach, and got very sunburned. Now I need to graft a seam, and I don't have a needle...holiday trip to the yarn shop anyone?

Pop over to Small Things and Frontier Dreams to see what people are actually crafting on, not just messing around in the sunshine!

  1. Messing around in the sunshine and a trip to the yarn shop sounds pretty good to me! Enjoy yourself (except for the sunburn part!)

  2. Beach! How lovely that sounds. One of my goals over this summer is to make my own hat pattern! We shall see how that goes... :)

  3. Sorry for your sunburn. But everything else sounds just lovely! We are still waiting for the sun and sitting at the beach and knitting seems far away at the moment. Is that a baby pants / shorts you are knitting? I'm fiddling around with mine quite a bit too ;-)

    1. Yes they are a sort of soaker, well spotted! The weather here is outrageously and unexpectedly good, it could just as easily be snowing. That's they joy of our temperate climate!

  4. Knitting in the sun on the beach - it doesn't get much better!

  5. What a fun word - holibobs! I have never heard that term before and looked it up which confirmed my suspicion that it just means what I would call "vacation"? I hope you have a fun and restful time and can find a needle! Sounds like my vacations - I always have only half the things I need for my projects that come along with me!
